Washing Your Face 2 Times Per Day for Beautiful Skin

Washing your face twice each day is ideal.  Washing too often can lead to dehydrated skin that is stripped of its natural oils.  If you don’t wash your face enough, excess sebum, dirt, bacteria and other impurities can become clogged in pores resulting in break outs.

Washing your face in the morning

Most people do not wash your face in the morning because they already removed their makeup the night before.  However, it is good to give your skin a light refresher in the morning with a gentle cleanser to remove any oil that may have accumulated as a result of oil from your hair, hands, or pillow case.  For normal skin types, any gentle daily cleanser is suitable.  If have acne skin, consider a salicylic acid cleanser.  For dry skin conditions or for anti-aging skin care, start the day with a hydrating cleanser.

Washing your face at night

Washing your face at night and following up with an appropriate skin care regimen is perhaps the most important step we can take to ensure our skin’s overall health.  After a full day of wearing makeup, perspiring and producing oil, our pores can become clogged with several different types of impurities.  In the evening is when our skin requires a thorough cleansing to get down deep into pores.  Before you go to sleep is also the ideal time to exfoliate and apply skin rejuvenating products.  Overnight, your skin is working hard to repair, replenish and rehydrate itself.  You can help your skin by using products that work to enhance your skin and treat any specific skin conditions you have (dehydration, acne, aging, etc).
